During the city tour you will be visiting most of the historical places in Belize such as: Baron Bliss Lighthouse which is the resting place of Belize’s most well known benefactor. Supreme Court Building – Built in 1926, it still functions as the highest court in Belize. Regent and Alberts Streets are where to find banks, a variety of shops and street vendors. St. John’s Cathedral – Built in 1812; It is the oldest Anglican cathedral in Central America. House of Culture – Once the residence of colonial governors, its now a historical museum. Exhibits include historical photos and a glassware collection. Bliss Institute – Theater, Museum, and National Arts Council – It the cultural center of Belize City and sometimes features performances by visiting dance or theater companies. Just to name a few.
Belize City Tour for Cruise Ship Passengers
For our cruise ship passengers the tour departs from the Tourism Village in Belize City (the dock area where the cruise ship tender boats drop off their passengers). As you debark from your tender boat, please look for the Diamonds International store at Terminal 2. Walk through the store to the gate on Fort Street. At the gate, you’ll be met by a representative of Splash Wave Tours. Our tours are scheduled to fit within the port time of the cruise ships arriving in Belize City. We monitor the cruise ship tender schedules and plan our tours itineraries to give you plenty of time to return back to your ship, to enjoy a local drink before departure.
